PARAKLESIS supports German Congregations, who try to reach out to English speaking communities within their neighbourhoods.

Having a background of long-term experiences in the Wetzlar Cathedral Lutheran Congregation and in Washington D.C., I have developed an interactive worship model that builds a bridge between a traditional liturgical approach and a contemporary service style.

As worship services in the ecumenical world embrace more than just a one-hour event on a Sunday morning, structural and ecclesiological consequences should be considered in advance. Key expressions like “cell or home groups”, “lay ministry” or “newcomer classes” indicate the necessary transition for a successful outreach to members of the global body of Christ.

While the challenges can be great to those German mainline congregations who seek to change their approach to outreach, the opportunities and rewards by doing so are even greater.

PARAKLESIS – the right contact for a church in mission.
